I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
